What Issues Should Be Noted When Stamping Stainless Steel

In the use of stamping materials, stainless steel materials are mostly used. What should we know in advance about stainless steel stamping? How can we avoid unnecessary situations?
When processing stainless steel stamping, we need to pay attention to the rebound deformation of stainless steel materials. Stainless steel materials will experience rebound after stretching and forming. Due to the high hardness of stainless steel, the material rebound is relatively large. When designing the forming mold, it is necessary to predict the rebound value of the material and minimize size problems caused by material rebound. Heat treatment issues, many stainless steel stamping and stretching parts have high hardness requirements, but due to the harder the material, the greater the difficulty of stretching. Sometimes, it is necessary to undergo heat treatment after forming to meet the hardness requirements. However, the stamped parts after heat treatment are prone to deformation, and the amount of deformation needs to be considered in mold design. Selection of cutting tools: Stainless steel has a high hardness, which can cause relatively large wear on the mold blade. Therefore, when selecting cutting tools, it is necessary to make appropriate choices based on the hardness of stainless steel materials.
Selection of stainless steel stamping oil: The selection of stamping oil should be cautious. Suitable stainless steel stamping and stretching oil must contain sulfur chlorine composite additives, which can prevent hardening, deformation, burrs, cracks and other problems of stamping parts. In order to make the stamping parts easy to clean, we can choose low viscosity stamping and stretching oil.
In stainless steel stamping, there may also be scratches on the surface, cracks in the stamped parts, and material issues with the mold.
